This collection showcases my work across film, theater, digital and visual storytelling. From plays and films that blend suspense and humor to illustrated stories that invite reader participation, these projects reflect my passion for engaging, character-driven narratives.

I explored Irish queer history in What Was Dead Was Hope, a hand-drawn comic that follows the story of Marina, a ghost reflecting on the struggles and triumphs of the Irish queer community. From the sorrow of Oscar Wilde's demise to the progress in LGBTQ+ rights, this comic blends historical facts with personal insights, offering a poignant look at resilience and legacy in queer Ireland. In Clover's Tale join Clover the Fae as she navigates the magical realm of ancient Ireland. This interactive story, created using Twine and illustrated by me, explores themes of self-acceptance and personal growth through engaging choices and whimsical encounters.

In my free time whilst doing my MA, I wrote and directed two plays which were then put on by the maynooth drama society on campus. Casting a Murder was also put on in the Smock Alley theater in dublin city. Below are images and the blurbs for both.

Casting a Murder combines humor and intrigue as a dramatic retreat turns deadly. Casey, Penelope, Chip and Seamus, must put aside their creative ambitions when Agatha meets an untimely death. The group, isolated by snow, takes up the task of solving the crime themselves, leading to moments of fear, laughter, and escalating tension.

In Out of the Blue, Cass eagerly documents her journey to Los Angeles, sharing her thoughts with Charlie, a stranger she meets at the airport. Their connection, lighthearted musings on romance, and shared hopes for a “coming-of-age adventure” take on profound significance as they unknowingly approach a moment that will put an end their hopeful plans. This play was acted by first time actors in Maynooth Drama society.

During my undergrad, I collaborated on two films as co-writer and video editor, though with our small, four-person team, we each took on multiple roles to bring these projects to life. Both films were made on zero budget and within tight timelines, with our group’s shared interest in the horror genre strongly influencing each project—though each film brings its own unique twist to the genre.
